Community Family,                          December 13, 2024

It is looking more and more like winter out there now.  This past week, the Riverside Seniors met on Monday for their Christmas party.  Over 20 were in attendance and Marsha did such a great job hosting them.  Then on Thursday, the Seniors went to LaComedia to enjoy a Christmas classic Holiday Inn and some great food and fellowship.

Please PRAY Regarding Your PLEDGE For 2025

To date, we have 31 pledges for 2025. (As we began 2024, we had 45 pledges)

︎ Operations (office expenses, pastor, Admin. Asst., Janitor):  presently $20,596 less than was pledged as we began 2024.

︎ Building (maintain building, utilities, etc.):  presently $3,944 less than was pledged as we began 2024.

Please, go to our Lord Jesus and ask:

-- "Am I to pledge for 2025?"

-- "Am I to increase my pledge for 2025?"

-- "Am I to make a special Christmas gift to the church for operations in 2025?"

PRAYER AND PRAISE WITH NEW HOPE CHURCH ON XENIA AVE:          

Monday January 6, 2025 at 6:30pm.  These monthly gatherings will be held at either Community or New Hope on the first Monday of each month in January, February, March and April.  The first one is at New Hope but we will alternate between the two churches.

ONGOING

HOPE RESTORED next session is Sunday December 22 at  6:30pm: “Hope deferred makes the heart sick but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”  Proverbs 13:12

CELEBRATE RECOVERY: A place and people to overcome your hurts, habits, and hang ups.  Every Thursday.  6:00pm Free Supper.  6:45 Celebration.  8:00 Groups.

Community’s Prayer Chain: We at Community have a Prayer Chain team who receives prayer requests, and we pass them along to the team so that every concern is covered in Prayer by each team member.  We would like to invite anyone who is interested in participating in the Prayer Chain to join us.   If you need any additional information, please contact Cathy Hughes, 937-426-7013 or Donna Willis, 937-681-9174 or speak with Pastor Fritz.

And when you check us out on Facebook, please share!  That helps keep people connected with your Community Church!  The holiday season is tough on many who feel left out, lonely or depressed.  Please consider sharing the “quick clips” we post on Facebook throughout the week with individuals in your circle that may be having a rough time or those whose salvation you have been praying for.  It’s a great way to reach out and give the greatest gift of all.

As a church that welcomes all people, we will at times have with us those previously charged with a sexual offense (This statement required by Insurance).

Together, we keep our kids safe.  Keep your kids with you or a designated adult at all times (including bathroom and after service).

Please let me know if I forget a birthday or anniversary.  If you haven’t given me your information, please do!  We want to recognize your special days.  Make sure you watch the “Story of Jesus for Children” with the children in your life.  It’s for everyone but made so that children can get the message.  Have a good weekend and try to stay warm.
