SIMPLY JESUS. Hear Him Out!  Prepare To Walk It Out.  Jesus’ Sermon On the Mount.  Matthew 7

Simply Jesus is an ongoing sermon series about the steps you need to take to follow Jesus.  Text: The Gospel of Matthew.  Follow the Steps:

1.  Is Jesus “For Real?” Chapters 1-3

2.  Come, Follow  Chapter 4

3.  Stop! – Listen, Change  Chapters 5-7

4.  Check It Out – Watch & See  Chapters 8:1-9-9:34

5.  Go – Try It Out  Chapters 9:35-10:42

GET To Know Your Team.  KNOW YOUR TEAM MEMBERS.  We will continue to offer snacks and social time in the Narthex before the service. Stay after the service for a snack or meal and some fellowship.  It is so important for us to get to know each other and have some quality time to get to know new faces both before and after the service. 

“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 ESV     

In Community, learn what it means to faithfully come together and follow our Lord to serve.

Let Rhonda Miller know if you can provide the snack in May or June or just sign up on the list that is on the kitchen door.

Coming Up!

THURSDAY MAY 22 – He’s coming back!  Scott Cramer will join us for Celebrate Recovery testimony and concert.  Come at 6 for the meal and stay for the concert.  Bring someone!

MEMORIAL DAY SUNDAY:  Commitment & Sacrifice Facing the Contrary

SATURDAY JUNE 28 10am-2pm  “Let Me Tell You About My Jesus” COMMUNITY YARD SALE

PURPOSE: Focus on fostering “community,” sharing faith and creating an inviting atmosphere.  Various ways we plan on doing this:

·  Offering the opportunity for our church members and members of the community to have tables at the yard sale

·  Sharing the Love and Word of God by expressing Christian values like generosity, kindness and hospitality through actions (offering affordable items, assisting attendees, sharing personal stories of faith with testimonials and communicating God’s love and message in a relatable way)

·  Worship Music

·  Food being offered fosters hospitality and encourages people to linger, socialize, and engage with one another.

How can you get involved? 

·  We will have volunteer sign up lists for areas that need help during the day with many different areas (set up, tear down, parking, clean up, kitchen, prayer team, welcome committee, etc)

·  We will have sign up lists for you to have your own table at the yard sale

·  You can let your friends and neighbors know and show them how to get involved by reserving a table or helping out

·  You can pray for our community and Community Church’s Outreach

For right now, if you have any questions, call the office and Ellen can fill you in.  Read more about it in the Spring Newsletter Page 8.  We will have a link for you to sign up to volunteer and another link for you to sign up for a table.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY: A place and people to overcome your hurts, habits, and hang ups.  Every Thursday.  6:00pm Free Supper.  6:45 Celebration.  8:00 Groups.
