Community Family February 13, 2025
SPECIAL REQUEST FROM DONNA WILLIS
Opportunity to Help
As you may know, Steve Hoke and his grandson, Austin, are caring for Helen at home. This is their act of love for their loved one.
We have an opportunity to support this family by providing one meal a week for them. So, we are looking for a few folks who would cook a meal for the Hokes once every few weeks. For example, if we have 5 people volunteer, then each individual would cook a meal once every 5 weeks. Delivery of the meal could be made at church on Sundays and either Steve or myself would see that it gets to their home.
If you feel you could be part of this "meal team,” please contact Donna Willis at 937-681-9174, dwillis26@hotmail.com or Sue Collins at skc777@email.com.
Thank you for considering being the hands and feet of Christ for family.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!
· Charlotte, Shelley, Amanda, Claire and I and a few others write devotionals or short clips for the Community Methodist Church Riverside page.
· We actually write these ourselves, we do not copy them from someone else, we write them ourselves.
· Why? Facebook is a tool God made available to us here at Community to win souls to Christ. We make our devotionals personal so that others might read them and relate and be brought hope and maybe even share and comment on them.
· This is a challenge
1. Go to Community’s Facebook page and read through a week’s worth of our posts.
2. Find one that means something to you, like it, share it, comment on it once a week. It’s a big ask for you who are so busy, but if you’re on Facebook anyway, it won’t take much time and I promise that none of the posts will be political or bring you down. They will only lift you up and at least one will be worth sharing! Thank you!

PRAISE & PRAYER SERVICES With New Hope Church 6:30 p.m. On First MONDAYS: The next one on Monday March 3 at New Hope Church has been cancelled because on Wednesday of that same week (March 5), Ash Wednesday, the service will be combined with New Hope and be here at Community.
Purpose: Seek the presence of the Lord so that we have the courage to enter the opportunities that God will make to present the Gospel in these volatile times – that we will be prayed up and ready to bless and not curse when “bigger picture” stuff crashes into our lives. After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. Acts 4: 29-32 NIV.
ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE with New Hope Church here at Community Church is March 5 at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary.

Last Saturday at Mad River Middle School Community Church Whiz Kids, Unplugged and the Outreach Team had tables where Amanda, Claire and Shelley shared information, candy and God’s love with over 700 community members. I helped out in the kitchen with Hope4Riverside served all those people chips and pizza. Cub Scout Pack 105 representatives Marsha, Bill and Rachel shared info about scouts and handed out fresh popped popcorn. It was a great day!
Be blessed,
Ellen
